We take this opportunity to apologize to any customers (and there are quite a few now!) who have experienced delays with repair work. This Covid crisis seems to have affected companies in different ways: some – and our hearts go out to them – have suffered a loss of business which might take years to redress. Others (ourselves among them) have experienced a rise in demand that has caused unprecedented delays. To give an example, our current workload is five times what it was eighteen months ago. As we are not “big business” but a small company of audio enthusiasts (a main office and a small workshop), beyond working longer hours, which we have done anyway, there isn’t a great deal we can do to improve the situation. Training new staff to cope with the demand (as our work is highly specialized) is not as easy as it sounds. Supply of goods is currently not a problem, but our repair backlog is suffering. We apologize for this and hope our many dedicated customers will understand, as every effort is being made to remedy the situation. In view of the above – and due partly to lack of physical space – it may be some weeks before we can take in further repair or refurbishment work. Speak to Steven Williams and he will give you a suitable time to bring in your speaker/s (to cause the least delay) together with an estimate of the turnaround time. The Covid crisis won’t last forever, and the recent comment of a patient and ‘philosophical’ customer is worth bearing in mind: “I’m sure it will be worth the wait. The best things in life are always worth waiting for.”
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
